Gargiulo Reiterates Necessity for .COM in New Forbes Domain and Branding Article

*** Here Is A List Of Some Of The Best Domain Name Resources Available ***

NEW YORK, NY – Michael Gargiulo, owner of VPN.com, a group of virtual private network consultants, is also part of what Forbes Magazine calls its “Forbes Technology Council”, an invitation only community for senior technology executives.

Gargiulo, who I have begun to follow for his ‘straight-shooter’ domain advice, writes periodically for Forbes Magazine and certainly believes in the value of a great domain name, indicated by his decision in 2017 to purchase VPN.com for nearly $1 million.

When I bought VPN.com in 2017, I knew the future of the VPN market would move VPN to become one of cybersecurity’s largest markets. This trend helped influence our decision to purchase the name for nearly $1 million. Now as the VPN space grows, those benefits are directly tied to the value of the domain and our company. This is exactly the type of growth and positioning you want to aim for.”

I wholeheartedly agree – and in today’s extremely competitive space of online business, having a premium .com domain name seems like the equaliser necessary to compete whether or not your a big brand or mom and pop business.

In an article dated October 22 2018, titled: “Naming Your Business: Are Domain Name Extensions Important?”, Gargiulo who is obviously an educated and experienced IT professional, has- once again come out blasting the use of new gTLD domain names when choosing your company domain name.

Gargiulo cites five major points and benefits for choosing .COM over any other extension:

  1. Search engine value.
  2. Avoiding confusion.
  3. Improved efficiency in marketing.
  4. Protecting reputation and brand.
  5. The value of consumer perception.

He ends his article with a short concluding statement:

The lesson is simple here: If you can, buy an exact-match .com domain name for your business and reap the rewards of instant recognition, built-in traffic and long-term SEO value.”
