How Am I Supposed to Find A Good Domain Name When They Are Already All Gone?

April 8, 2020 By John Colascione 1 Comment

PALM BEACH, FL – Finding a good, short, “.com” domain name nowadays is much harder than it was in the past, but it certainly isn’t impossible. What you don’t want to do, is listen to bad advice from someone who tells you to go ahead and register an alternative, such as “.net”, “.biz”, or “.info”. Whatever you do, don’t make that mistake, because you will very likely regret it at some point in the future. Unless your business is an ‘organization” you could get a “.org” … [Read more...]

PALM BEACH – Google is a massive giant in promoting things - and it looks like they’ve decided to include some interesting advertising for Uniregistry in one of their search advertising videos called “Get Started with Google Ads: Pick The Right Keywords”, a how-to video about setting up your Google Ads. Domain Name Biz Uniregistry Scores on Domain Name “DomainNames.com”

February 13, 2019 By John Colascione 2 Comments

NEW YORK - A few weeks ago at NamesCon Global 2019 one of the industry’s best domain names, in my opinion, was acquired by Uniregistry, the brainchild of founder Frank Schilling, who operates the company from its Cayman Islands headquarters. As many in the domain industry were, Schilling was in attendance and won the highest bid on DomainNames.com for $370,000, one of the largest sales in the live auction. The remainder of domains which were not sold at the live event, … [Read more...]

NEW YORK, NY - If you had not heard yet - domain registry, parking and portfolio management company “Uniregistry” has launched a re-branding effort changing its popular brand name from “Uniregistry” to simply “UNI”. Two things immediately came to mind upon seeing this news. Does the company own the UNI.com domain name? The answer: Surprisingly it does not. The domain name UNI.com has been registered since 1993 and is currently owned by an Italian company which according … [Read more...]

gTLD Madness: Five Years Later and Where Are We Now? T.R.A.F.F.I.C. Panel Debate

June 8, 2018 By John Colascione 4 Comments

NEW YORK - By the time I started visiting domain conferences in person, unfortunately, what I feel was the greatest domain conference of all time, Howard Neu and Rick Schwartz’s T.R.A.F.F.I.C., had seen its last days. I wish it weren’t so. I think the T.R.A.F.F.I.C. conferences were the best respected domain conferences in history; I can only wish that Howard and Rick, for whatever reason, will team up again and bring it back one day, because everything else, in my opinion, … [Read more...]

March 8, 2018 By John Colascione Leave a Comment

NEW YORK, NY – The year seems off to a good - no - great start, with lots of single word .com domain names and one .org topping the charts, thanks in part to NameJet, ROTD, and the NamesCon Auction which has led to several of these closed transactions as of late. Also worth mentioning is the ‘out of the ordinary’ colossal .org sale of Star.org, at SEDO for $225,000.00 (the highest sale through SedoMLS channel to date according to SEDO’s PR and marketing team), Wow! .COM … [Read more...]

January 21, 2018 By John Colascione Leave a Comment
