Surgeon General Upset Young People Not Visiting “SurgeonGeneral.com” – Parked

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Coronavirus outbreak is nothing to joke about, so this short article is not intended to embarrass or make fun of the fact that the web address was misspoken; it is to point out that it keeps happening, and that even younger people continue to just assume that their website is a dot com, just on basic instinct.

Eight minuet video embedded below via YouTube.com

This morning, I was surprised to hear during a breaking news video on the TODAY show, that U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams, told viewers while visibly upset, that people are not getting their information from the right places and they’re not visiting authoritative sites such as “SurgeonGeneral.com” to be properly aware of what is happening with the Coronavirus, recognizing that younger people are misinformed while praising social media influencers such as Kylie Jenner who are using their influencer status to alert and educate younger people.

I want to give a shout out to Kylie Jenner who stepped up last week and sent out a message. My daughter and my son said, Dad, make sure you call out Loren Gray, and I believe it is Roman Atwood, and making sure that we are really reaching out to these social media influencers who don’t listen to the Surgeon General and who don’t go to SurgeonGeneral.com but are on YouTube and TikTok and need to understand, hey, this is serious, and this includes you.

I visited SurgeonGeneral.com figuring it would redirect to the proper site which appears to be, https://www.hhs.gov/surgeongeneral, but unfortunately, it went to a parked page at Uniregistry.

These type of .com gaffes are common when it comes to older folks such as Joe Biden, but it’s a little surprising, that a much younger person, such as Adams, who is just 45 years old, could misspeak the U.S. agencies web address.

Here’s Joe telling viewers to visit a phone number, ‘If you agree with me, Go to Joe 30330’ which he appeared to barely get out properly.

Now, for some added humor: Here is an all-in-one classic purely for enjoyment:

I went to SurgeonGeneral.gov and there wasn’t one word on the page related to COVID-19 or coronavirus. It was about as useful as going to SurgeonGeneral.com
