WEST PALM BEACH, FL – The domain name memento.com has sold at Sedo.com according to their latest weekly domain sales report. The name, currently parked at Godaddy.com, is a word which means “an object kept as a reminder or souvenir of a person or event” – pretty interesting its worth that much. You just never know these days what a domain name will be sold for.
People often ask my opinion of what their domain names might be worth, and in most cases, no one really knows. It just depends on what someone is willing to pay for it, plain and simple. In my opinion, memento is not a word that you would expect to have all that much commercial value. According to Google Trends, the word has slightly increased in searches.
According to NameBio, the domain souvenirs.com, which just redirects to a domain parking page, sold for just $16,250 in 2014, and is a more common word in my opinion.
Here are the list of names that sold according to the weekly sales report:
As a reminder, SEDO does not include confidential sales many of which exceed the values of their publicly reported sales. Also only public sales over 2,000 USD are included in this report.
